Cost Recovery Solution

PaperCut

PaperCut’s print accounting and print management software has been developed over ten years to help organizations wanting to save money on excess printing. It’s now in use in over 50,000 organizations across 100+ countries. With its roots implementing student print quotas in education (K-12, college to university), PaperCut has expanded over the years to cover all areas from business, to corporate and to government. We believe setting reasonable budgets or quotas and active monitoring is the key to controlling print usage across an organization.

Today, PaperCut remains an engineering-led organization with a focus on technology rather than flashy marketing. PaperCut is the only true cross-platform print control software available, providing full support for Windows, Mac, Linux and Novell network environments. Our print management software is ideal for organizations of all sizes, from schools to engineering, graphic design, architectural, and accounting firms to advertising, legal and IT. PaperCut encourages the responsible use of company resources and helps to create an environmentally friendly workplace.

Why PaperCut?

It is nearly impossible to manage the cost of printing on modern networks. Monitoring and control is the key to reducing your organization’s print costs and environmental impact. PaperCut is the solution selected by over 50,000 organizations in over 100 countries. As a modern, cross-platform solution designed for networks of all sizes, PaperCut is a rich feature, web based browser console for both users and administrators. Most importantly it is a cost-effective solution with a proven return on investment.

How it works

PaperCut works by intercepting printer usage at the server level, calculating the cost, and deducting it from a central account associated with a user, department, group or client account. Administrators can define quotas by scheduling credit allocation at defined intervals. In a pay for print environment users can add funds to accounts using a variety of online payment systems to implement a self-managing user-pays system.

Flexible Deployment

PaperCut is hardware vendor and operating system neutral. It works on all major printer brands and supports standards including PCL and Postscript. Unlike other solutions PaperCut is a full cross-platform system supporting all major operating systems including mixed environments. Would you like to host some printers on Windows and others on Apple, Linux or Novell OES?
